Hello,
The documentation (https://wpoperation.com/wp-documentation/active-campaign-wpforms/) does not tell how to set up custom fields (radio buttons, drop down menus etc.) so that the answers on the WPForms side nicely travel to my Active Campaign.
I can go around this by capturing the values as text, but this is not a solution that stands any kind of volume.
I have tried using the exact same values on both. (So, copy AC custom field value names to WPForms.) Did not help.

Do you mean to save WpForms radio or dropdown data in the ActiveCampaign custom fields as radio or dropdown field?

You need to create a dropdown field in wpforms like this https://prnt.sc/qpewhp then create a custom dropdown field in your ActiveCampaign also like this https://prnt.sc/qpewv6
The values in wpforms and ActiveCampaign should be same and then it will be saved in you contact list.
